Quality Wholesale Books for Your Homeschool {Review}

You may not know this, but our family is a bit addicted to books. I’m always looking for new bookstores where I can find quality books for a bargain. I recently discovered Library and Educational Services LLC who sells a variety of books at wholesale prices. We received the Who Was Albert Einstein title from their Who Was. . .series, Lifehouse Theater’s The Emperor’s New Clothes audio CD, and our choice from their Reinforced Hardcover Library Binding Nonfiction books.

They have a wonderful selection of wholesale books that would make a great addition to any homeschool library.

I was pleased to find an entire series from their Reinforced Hardcover Library Binding Nonfiction books that was all about birds of the world. My sixth grade daughter dreams of being an ornithologist someday, so I was happy to be able to add these eleven resource books to our library for her to study at her leisure.

I also purchased a series about The Real World of Pirates, because pirates. There are six books in the series that covers the history of pirates, the pirate code, pirate gear, pirate hideouts, pirate ships and pirate treasure. I’m hoping they will inspire an awesome unit study.

In addition, I added a fun series about the Middle Ages called Ye Yucky Middle Ages. All of my kids have read them through at least once already.

What I love about the reinforced library binding is knowing they will hold up much longer than other binding types. My children have inherited my love for books, which is a beautiful thing. It means they will happily read and reread favorite books. There is nothing quite as disappointing as having a book fall apart as you are reading because it has been so well loved.

Who Was. . .Series

Have you heard of the Who Was. . .Series? We received the Who Was Albert Einstein? title from the series. This series is a great way to introduce kids to people and places of importance throughout history.

Similar to their selection of Reinforced Library Binding Nonfiction, there is a vast selection of titles within this series to choose from.

These books make a great addition to your regular studies. They would also be good in a unit study.

Don’t Forget to Add Audio Books to Your Library!

It’s only been in the last year or so that I have really begun to appreciate audio books. Being able to find ones that are well done really helps.

After much discussion, my kids decided they wanted to listen to The Emperor’s New Clothes. This fully dramatized audio adventure CD was just over 40 minutes long, which was perfect for listening to as we drove in rush hour to see a baseball game.

I really appreciated that different voices were used for the characters and that background noises were included. This helps my kids to follow along and it just makes for a better listening experience overall.

So Many Choices at Wholesale Book Prices!

To be honest, I had a hard time narrowing down my choices. I started by just adding everything I was interested in to my cart. When my total started trending towards the thousands I realized I may have a problem! Isn’t that the problem with a book addiction, though? There are always more to read. Being able to get prices for wholesale books meant I was able to get more for my budget.
