Encourage A Christ-Centered Christmas with Little Lamb from Bethlehem
Disclaimer: I received a complimentary Little Lamb from Bethlehem in exchange for an honest review.
With Christmas decorations already lining store shelves, it’s hard not to begin thinking about the Christmas season. Every year, I try to decide what we will do as a family to ensure our Christmas is more Christ-centered, while still containing the fun and excitement of the season.
Enter in Little Lamb from Bethlehem
This year, I heard about Little Lamb from Bethlehem. Little Lamb from Bethlehem is a Christ-centered alternative to Elf on the Shelf, created by a grandmother who wanted to help her grandchildren focus more on the Savior at Christmastime.
We received our Little Lamb from Bethlehem in the mail and all the kids were excited to get it out. Little Lamb is incredibly soft! Both my one and four year old love it. The kids have affectionately nicknamed it “Lamby” and I see it easily becoming a part of our Christmas season.
The children quickly gathered on the couch with Lamby to read the book it came with. The story is told from the point of view of the Little Lamb, who was there the night Jesus Christ was born. The story is simple and easy to read and contains scriptural passages throughout with charming illustrations.
The back of the book contains myriad ideas as to how you may use Little Lamb, along with searching #littlelamb on social media.
Our Lamby will help us by finding our act of kindness for each day in December as we participate to once again Light the World in sharing love for others.
My favorite thing about the Little Lamb from Bethlehem so far is this:
The day after we got it, I found my four year old, Olivia, lying on the floor “reading” the story of Jesus to Lamby. I love when my children seek out goodness for themselves. And I especially love when their play centers around Jesus Christ.
I am looking forward to starting a new tradition with our Little Lamb from Bethlehem. You can get your own Little Lamb from Bethlehem HERE for a cute and creative way to help focus your little ones on the Savior during the Christmas season.
Names of Christ: A Reflective Study Journal
Another way to keep your Christmas focused on Christ is to take some time each day to learn about a different names of Jesus Christ and spend some time reflecting on the Savior in your life.
